Notice of Grant Requirements
The City of Northampton, acting through its Conservation Commission, with an office of c/o Director of Planning and Sustainability, 210 Main Street, Room 11, Northampton, MA 01060,
is the owner of a certain piece or parcel of land located in the City of Northampton, more particularly described in a Deed to the City of Northampton, acting through its Conservation
Commission, recorded in the Hampshire Country Registry of Deeds at Book 11228, Page 282 (02/25/2013) (the “Property”).
The City of Northampton, acting through its Conservation Commission, acquired the Property with and as match for North American Wetlands Conservation Act funds pursuant to a Grant Agreement
between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the City of Northampton, dated 9/10/2010, Agreement Number:MA-N381A, a copy of which is kept at the Division of Bird Habitat Conservation,
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, 1849 C Street, NW, Washington, DC 20240 and at the office of Northampton Conservation Commission at 210 Main Street, Room 11, Northampton, MA 01060.
This property was conserved in order to permanently preserve for conservation and passive recreation.
The City of Northampton, acting through its Mayor and Conservation Commission, hereby agrees to be bound by the terms of the Grant Agreement as they relate to the Property, including
the obligation to ensure the long term conservation of the Property and to obtain the consent of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife prior to the conveyance or encumbrance of any interest therein.
The terms of this Notice shall be binding upon the City of Northampton, acting through its Conservation Commission, and its designees and successors.
