Historical Commission DecisionNORTHAMPTON HISTORICAL COMMISSION CITY HALL William Fermo Pratt Architect, 1849 CITY HALL 210 MAIN STREET Historic District Commission Decision: NORTHAMPTON, MASSACHUSETTS 01060 The Northampton Historical Commission voted 6-0, with one abstention on May 21, 2018 to grant a certificate of appropriateness pursuant to Section 195 of the Northampton Code for construction of 14' x 20' deck with whraparound, removal of stairs and a shed, and rear window and door replacement at 337 Elm Street, Map ID 24C-045, as submitted by Patrick and Karen Lonsway. The Commission finds that the work proposed conforms to the performance standards of the Ordinance and Historic District Design Guidelines by considering compatibility with the existing parcel and the District. Synthetic materials are permitted due to limited visibility from public ways. Additional Conditions: The applicant shall provide details of balusters, handrails and lattice work to staff for review and approval.
