A case for a by-rite Solar Installation
Here are the primary reasons why I believe it to be appropriate for my client, Dara Darabi, to be able to
bypass a special permit with the planning board in order to install his PV System.
1.) He has an exceedingly high electrical demand (pool, hot tub, electric car charger, several
gardens with pools and pumps, etc.). **Notice the majority of months in his last year of
electrical bills average well over 1000kWh a month (some months their electrical usage breaks
1700kWh !)**
2.) He has one electric car and is thinking about purchasing, which would increase his demand even
more.
3.) The system is sized to produce only 110% of his current electrical demand (i.e. this system is not
built for the export of power, the meter will not be cranking backwards. We always design
buffer into the system for potential future use (like an electric vehicle) as well as changing rates
and customer charges on Utility Bills.
4.) The array will fit well within standard setbacks, and their entire lot is surrounded by a privacy
fence, minimizing visual impacts for all surrounding community members.
