Lyn,
I lost track of this; I'm at a conference next week but I'll get back to it on Thursday.

Hi Louis,
Any updates on the other complaints, not chicken related? The parking in front of the building, the paved front
yard, the rental apartment...
Thanks

Lyn,
We're following up on the 1st complaint.
Chickens are allowed; Zoning 3505.3.B.6

(a) Fowl must be maintained on the subject premises.
(b) Coop and run areas shall be regularly maintained to control dust and odor and not constitute a nuisance
or safety hazard.
(c) Coops shall be located at least four feet from property boundaries, and no coop may be sited closer than
10 feet to an existing residential structure on an abutting parcel.
(d) All stormwater runoff from the coop, run and compost areas shall be contained on site.

Hi Louis,
Do you have any update on this? The same neighbor that originally complained to me is questioning the
possibility of chickens at this property. Apparently over the weekend and chicken coop was set up and
she was informed that the tenants are getting chickens. I don't know enough about where chickens are
allowed or how many but I thought I should pass this on to you.
Thanks
Lyn

Lyn,
It certainly sounds like more than was permitted. We will check on Monday. I'll keep you informed.

Hi Louis,
I received a complaint from a neighbor of 285 Prospect Street about what is occurring at this single
family residence next to her property. The main house has anywhere from 410 tenants renting
rooms, the exact number is hard to know because there are so many people coming and going. The
attached but separate office space is rented as an apartment, and available on AirBnB, see
here. She said this goes against the plans she had reviewed in the Planning Office when the project
was proposed. According to her "its not what it was supposed to be".
The parking situation in front of the property is also something she is concerned about. The front yard
is paved and she didn't think that was allowed. There are as many as 6 cars parked there.
The last thing she inquired about was a large pile of wood behind the fence in the backyard. You can
see it out of the window of her daycare. According to her the wood is used for fires in the backyard at
night by the tenants. She didn't like that there were chipmunks and other rodents living in the pile. As
well as the stacked trash bags outside of the side door of the house. I'm pretty sure this piece
concerns her because she is running a preschool and trash and piles of wood can bring rodents and
her property closely abuts this property.
Are you able to take a look at this property and see what's going on and if it's allowed?
Thanks
Lyn
