Dear Louis;
As per your Jetter of 5 Augu..<it 2013, J am responding to the architectural phase ofthe
project, Mass building code CMR 780. Chapter 34 and IBC 2009, building history and
the new addition.
The building was constructed as a single story, steel frame; masonry exterior structure in
1982 and is approximately 12,746 SF.
The building is <olassified as a medif;al office building. or liB" business.
The existing building is having cosmetic upgrades, with no structural changes. In 2012 a
new roof was insta11ed.
The existing building will have new windows installed of 1tt insulated glass Low-E along
with exit door weather protectiOllt hardware and slops.
The vertical roof existing skylight is being covered over with a new enclosure and
exterior cosmetic fmish as indicated on the drawings.
The new addition of 5.114 SF, is a steel frame on grade, 2·B construction, the exterior
walls are ofmatching existing masonry. and are constructed according to 780 CMR
appendix: 120 AA stretch energy code. The steel frame is designed with seismic code
requirements.
There are no dead end corridors.
The entire building will have a new sprinkler system, no exit distance exceeds 250 feet to
and on grade exit.

The existing building and new addition meets the Massachusetts access codes, including
access, fixtures, hardware and signage,
There is no change in building use ofoccupancy and is a single tenant use.
The capacity ofthe building is 150+ this figure may go up or down depending on the
time ofday and time ofweek, and includes employees.
This report does not include HVAC~ electrical, sprinkler. fire control, or plumbing code
issues.
