as required by code with required access panel locations to be
reviewed by the Architect before installation.
7. Subcontractor is required to prepare a full system submittal, including
products, duct layouts, and controls, and provide or confirm heating
and cooling load calculations. System is to be installed in full
accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations & requirements
by a subcontractor fully trained & certified by the system
manufacturer.
8. No backup electric resistance heating capability is required.
9. Sound attenuation: To be provided if sound levels at any register

well.
3. Mount the SH704 unit in the attic space over the Recycling Shelves.
Provide service access from an access panel above those shelves
4. HRV unit to be mounted on vibration-isolating dampers (or
equivalent) to avoid any structure borne vibration.
5. Fresh air intake and exhaust ducts from unit to the exterior to be
insulated with 1 ½” fiberglass (equal to Certainteed Standard duct-
wrap or circular ductwork and industrial insulation board for
rectangular ductwork) and completely air sealed. All joints in
ductwork to be tightly air-sealed with mastic or aluminum tape.
6. Supply and exhaust return ducts from the unit to conditioned spaces
need not be insulated.
7. Backdraft dampers to be a Cape Backdraft Damper by Tamarack
Technologies.
8. Seal duct penetrations through the exterior wall plane using spray
sealant foam in an annulus space of at least ½” width.
9. Sound attenuation to be provided if sound levels at any register
exceed 42DbA.
10. Duct layouts are schematic. The contractor is responsible for
achieving an arrangement that meets airflow and noise requirements.
11. Subcontractor is required to prepare a full system submittal including
products, duct layouts and controls. System is to be installed by a fully
trained installer and in full accordance with the manufacturer’s
recommendations and requirements.
12. Provide a the warranty signed by the manufacturer from the date of
