Punchlist Items:
1. Utilize H2.5 clips along the porch rafter ends to drop header sections (all
locations). Be sure to utilize either strapping and or anchored attachment point
between roof-beam (H2.5), beam-post, and post to railing plate/wall connections to
ensure positive connection to prevent withdrawal from potential uplift. Nailed
connections (toe nail) shall not suffice. Also shall verify final railing height req’s
once roof/floor surfaces finished with Bldg dept.

2. Along load bearing center wall support below roof/wall ceiling area. Use either
coil strapping and or 2x4 strut to brace the rafter to ceiling joist. Then use coils
strapping or H2.5 clips to overlap the ceiling joist down onto the existing walls studs
(all locations where feasible).
3. Along the exterior wall 2x4 rafter seat, ensure along both walls that a
headlock/timberlok fastener is installed every other wall stud.

4. In lieu of main exterior wall H2.5 clips, ensure each rafter/stud cxn consists of a
total of (10) 12d fasteners (minimum).
5. Exterior placed sheathing along the SW side shall use CS18 or better coil
strapping consisting of 2’ long strip every 24” oc (+-) and at corners such that each
side of the strap is 12” on each side of opening. Install per manufacturer fastener
recommendations. Strapping shall line up over an interior stud and not plank
sheathing alone.
**make sure that strapping lines up over the existing lower studs.

6. Add timber/headlock faster along each bump out header corners (2 header
locations- one shown).
7. If desired- sister existing ceiling joists within living room that contain a long span
to reduce potential ceiling deflection/sag even though the newer materials is lighter
than original plaster/lathe materials. 2x10 every other shall be sufficient.
