Discussion – Contractor requests lifting of decease order on build.
Timothy Naumowicz wants to be made whole for property damages and monetary losses. Building Commissioner, nor contactor will provide
insurance information for Mr. Naumowicz to file a claim. Several attempts for insurance have been requested.
Contractor states he will make right to my satisfaction.
Will clean outside mess to my property and reseed lawn. If in spring need be to restore a lawn that will grow will remove soil and replace with new clean loom and reseed again at their
expense.
Will clean and if necessary power wash sidewalks stained by sediments.
Will reimburse Mr. Naumowicz for lost items, cleaning supplies, and lost time from work due to cleaning, repairs, painting of inside of home due to water and mud entering cellar stairwell,
basement floor and items lost because of this. ( see October 30, 2017 letter to City of Northampton Building Commissioner, Louis Holbrouck for both damages and unknown damages at this
time.
The following items were damaged during the initial rainstorm on Tuesday, October 24, 2017: Bissell vacuum cleaner- model 6585 no longer available-comparable model $124.99,
Shark steamer mop- $49.99,
drier vent-parts: $100.00 and 3 hours labor: $225.00
The following items were purchased for clean-up: paper towel, rags, scrubbing pads, mop heads and pine sol-$80.00
Total known cost: $1,841.90
$579.98 materials, equipment and supplies.
Four of my vacation days used for inside clean up and lost time due to being up all night through (2) storms, ($42.064267 per hour x 7.5 hours = $315.48 per day x 4 days = $1,261.92.
Unknown costs at present: mortar, cinderblocks, and cement to block up two basement windows/window wells. Enamel masonry paint to repaint basement floor. Perennials in flower beds
that may have been damaged, possible repairs to stone walls. If need be mold remediation in basement.
Above agreed to by all parties printed, signed and dated below.
