August 1, 2014 17 East Street Easthampton, MA 01027 Subject Location: 1 Paradise Road Jordan House in the Quad Map Block: 31A - 067 Mr. Perrier, Your building permit application for work Smith College Kosher Kitchen dated 6-1-14 and plans dated 4-18- 14 have been approved as drawn and per this memo. All work must meet all applicable codes whether noted or not included within this memo. Please follow up on the following items: These items will need to be accomplished as the project moves forward and before rough inspections; 1. Kitchen work may proceed. Deck and ramp work cannot proceed until item #6 is addressed. 2. All work must meet appropriate codes regardless of specifications and drawings submitted. 3. All inspection must be completed in proper sequence. 4. A site visit consisting of the plumbing contractor and the plumbing inspector before plumbing work begins. 5. Relevant items must be submitted to the building department for approval before inspections and or Certificates of Occupancy can be issued. 6. The revised deck and ramp drawings do not showing appropriate frost protection. The removable section of rail at the bulkhead needs to be reviewed for code compliance and the architect must submit documentation indicating how this meets code. The requirement of the bulkhead being a required emergency escape must also be evaluated and documented. Feel free to call if you have any questions.
