Meeting Notes
Project: CheckWriters (Gawith Hall)
Date: December 18, 2018 Location: 46 Round Hill Rd Northampton, MA
Current Construction Status:
• Sheetrock install has begun on the second floor.
• Masons are working on the entry wall.
• Framing and plywood sheeting are being installed on the addition.
• Loading dock is backfilled and ready for concrete slabs.
• Roof wood framing is underway.
• Lizotte Glass has ordered the glass wall framing materials.
• Plywood is being installed for the interior wood accent walls.
• Tile work is under way in most bathrooms.
• HVAC work is nearly 95% in the existing building. Controls, diffusers and start up remain.
• Natural gas piping and meter are installed for the temp heat switch over.
• Emergency power transfer switch being installed and the generator is schedule to ship 1/9/19.
New Items:
• Crocker has requested an updated drawing set from TDA. 12/18.
• The second floor conference room ductwork was discussed. TDA and MJ Moran are working on a solution. 12/18.
• Roofing pricing was submitted by RCI. We are requesting alternates to attempt to reduce the cost. 12/11. Alternate pricing was submitted on 12/18. Crocker to review and present options. 12/18.
• There was some discussion and onsite review of the shower tile work. Mercier will correct as needed. A new shower ceiling tile was offered at no additional cost. Waiting on approval. 12/18.
• Mercier has provided some samples of the selected flooring for review. Wood
samples are on order and will be available shortly. A complete finish schedule has been requested. 12/18.
• Crocker will provide fire extinguisher cut sheet to TDA for approval. 12/18.
Open Items:
• Dublin is waiting on approval for the roof deck railing drawing. The latest drawing shows a cable railing system. Approval needed 12/1. A Mock-up Panel is being constructed for review.12/18.
• The Renlita door from Wilco Sales was approved for the main Conference room. TDA has Crocker to hold the release of the door until coordination drawings have been completed.12/11.A preliminary drawing was provided on 12/19.
• Lizotte has resubmitted shop drawings for approval. 12/11.Shops were reviewed
by the Architects and returned for corrections 12/20.
• JohnCarlo Woodworking was onsite 12/12 to review and will resubmit their shop drawings. 12/11, 12/18.
• Max requested the removal of any exterior mounted non function mechanical
equipment. 12/1112/18
• Added access controls for the lounge doors third floor will need to be coordinated with Building Specialties. 12/11, 12/18.
• Review the third floor soffit and HVAC condition after the offset ductwork is installed. 12/4, 12/11, 12/18.
• MJ Moran has asked for a 4” hole in the masonry for the third floor dryer vent. 12/4, 12/11, 12/18
• Crocker will provide two 5” holes for cable entrance conduit. 11/27. Conduit need to be relocated to avoid interference with interior pier. 12/11.
• Plumbers are waiting on the floor drain from Mercier for the final shower connection. 11/27. Scheduled to be onsite 12/5, 12/11, 12/18.
• TDA to select the exterior vent cap/louver for the kitchen hood. 12/4, 12/11, 12/18.
• A window trim mock-up will be needed for review. 11/20, 11/27, 12/4, 12/11, 12/18.
• A price has been requested for snow guards on the existing roof at areas above HVAC equipment. 11/20, 11/27, 12/4, 12/11, 12/18.
