RE: Russ Meyette .r 0
Dear Mr. Palmer:
yyf 3 ,
As you know, Mr . Meyette is on the bank of the onneppN NS
Multiple concerns come to mind regarding his activities.
Why is this man allowed to continue to have, use and rent illegal
docks?, illegal decks? On an average summer weekend, an additional
five or six cars line up the bank of the river, That' s in addition
to his van,two cars, numerous trailers, canon, army jeep, wood pile,
wheelbarrows, riding mower.
Why is he allowed to fill the bank of the river with 50 tons of
gravel?
Why is he allowed to build, add to and restore his property
without a permit?
Why is he allowed to store, manufacture or distribute a dozen or
more 9 ft. x 8 ft. cabinets?
The house was sold as a summer camp. He has turned it into a year
round place housing two adults. Where is his septic tank, where do the
suds from his washing machine go?
Millions of dollars are being spentby the state to buy land in order
to preserve the ecological balance of the meadows. Parts of the meadows
have been closed to traffic in order to protect the nests of tiger beatles
In the wake of boat accidents a quarter of a mile from Mr . Meyette' s
illegal docks, considering the amount of traffic on the river already,
logic dictates that action be taken by the proper authorities to reduce
the possibilities of further accidnets.
An army jeep has been added to Mr. Meyette ' s arsenal. The jeep, in
particular, appeals to a youngster's imaginary play and represents a
particular safety problem for him since it is parked within the foot of
the river.

The connecticut River is a natural resouce to be respected and
enjoyed by all of us. Flagrant acts of disrepect such as those displayed
by this man should simply be stopped.
Please keep me posted regarding the actions of your office to deal
with the dangers this man has created, not to mention the eyesore and
the numerous violations.
Sincere ,
