Re: Temporary Docas
Dear Russ,
It has come to the attention o IF the Conservation Commission that you have a number of floating
docks at your residence. Whenever a structure is placed or an activity is conducted in a
jurisdictional resource ai ea. i n this case the Connecticut Rivet, a permit from the Conservation
Commission is required.
I am enclosing a 2eyuest for Determination of Applicability form for you to complete. This
would be the most epcdient way to go about getting a permit from the Commission, as long as
you can show that the activity and the structures do not present an alteration of the resource area.
Please submit the completed application to the Office of Planning and Development by
Thursday, October 23 in order to be on the agenda for November 13. I believe that you will also
need to obtain a permit from the Department of Environmental Protection under the Public
Waterfront Act after the Commission issues a local permit.
If you should have¢ny questions about the form or the permitting process, please do not hesitate
to contact me at 58i-1263.
Sincerely,
Gloria McPherson
