Hard Wood Lumber, Sash, Doors, Blinds, Lath and Shingles. Also Contractor and Builder.” Mr. Hebert kept a yard, shop, and
office on Hawley Street and a large mill off of South Street (near the present day Hebert Avenue). The business was founded in
the early 1870’s and grew quickly, employing over 100 by 1894. The site still remains in the lumber business today.”
