ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION:
Describe architectural features. Evaluate the characteristics of this building in terms of other buildings within the community.
This is a large-scale, Queen Anne style house that is two-and-a-half stories in height under a front-gabled roof. It has a
transverse gable on the north elevation and a two-and-a-half story ell on the west. The vinyl-sided house is three bays wide and
has a wrap around porch on chamfered posts with quarter circle brackets at the eaves and high impost blocks. The porch
railings have turned balusters. There is a three-sided bay window on the south elevation of the main block of the building and a
side porch on the north elevation of the ell. A pair of windows is located in the façade gable and other windows in the house
have 1/1 and 2/2 sash.

From the 1980 Form B, “This two and a half story house was most likely built in the mid-1880s for John White, a laborer.”
