It has grown from an average of 27 guests in 2008 to an average of over 55 in 2012. Our highest figure to date has been 83 patrons. All of our many volunteers work hard to provide nourishing, satisfying lunches, pleasing to our guests every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM at our Parish Hall. Our ratings are usually very high! We are fortunate to have blessed"angels"who donate to our cause on a regular basis. If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to our Soup Kitchen, you may send a check made out to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish with "Soup Kitchen" noted in the memo section to the Parish Office or drop it in the collection basket. The hungry of our area will be deeply grateful. Grant We are very grateful for the 2012 grant of$1300.00 from the Catholic Relief Services Operation Rice Bowl funds to our Soup Kitchen. Our Soup Kitchen, located at our Parish Hall on 10 Hawley Street, provides lunches for the needy on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 AM- 12:30 PM. Led by Joan Gruszkowski, our faithful team of volunteers provides nutritious meals, including fresh fruits and vegetables,to those most in need. They also accept donations of clothing that are available for clients of the Soup Kitchen. We thank our tremendous team of volunteers who work unselfishly to cook and serve meals to the poor of our community, in a welcoming environment. We also thank our generous and compassionate parishioners who donate to Operation Rice Bowl, the Annual Catholic Appeal, the Survival Center and the many other organizations that provide assistance to the most needy among us. May God continue to bless your generosity. Click here to see the soup kitchen slideshow. Copyright © 2010 Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish All Rights Reserved.
