Accordingly,we have issued a Warning Tag because of this situation. Under the circumstances, we strongly urge you to correct the code violation. In addition, the Massachusetts code pertaining to the installation of gas appliances and gas piping, established under Chapter 737, Acts of 1960, requires that the condition be remedied. If you have any question,please call our Service Department at 1-800-677-f052 and ask to speak with the Service Supervisor. Please disregard this notice if the condition has been corrected. I have attached the letter they sent detailing the violations. You need to contract with a licensed plumber or gas fitter to either have the violations corrected or have the appliances that do not meet code disconnected and capped within the next seven days. If a gas permit is not obtained at this office by a licensed plumber or gas fitter, and an inspection scheduled within the next seven days, Columbia Gas will notified and they will then make the determination as to whether your natural gas service will be interrupted.
