The Northampton Board of Health has inspected the premises at 48 Meadow
Street, Florence (assessor's map 22A parcel 15 .),
for compliance with Chapter II of the State Sanitary Code.
This letter will certify that the inspections revealed violations listed below, which
are serious enough as to endanger or materially impair the
health, safety, and well-being of the occupants.
Under authority of Chapter III, Section 127 of the Massachusetts General Laws,
and Chapter II of the State Sanitary Code, you are hereby ordered to make a good
faith effort to correct the following violations
within fourteen (14) days of the receipt of this order.

1. Faulty light fixtures in
bathroom and the kitchen
work sporadically.
2. An extension cord to the air
conditioner in the living room
passes across the doorway.
3. The kitchen sink spray handle
leaks whenever the faucet is
turned on.
1. Repair light fixtures so they
are operable.
2. Remove the extension cord
from the doorway and provide
an alternate connection.
3. Repair/replace the spray
handle to prevent leaking.

carpet has been removed
exposing the unfinished wood
floor.
2. Unfinished flooring beneath
the bed in the back bedroom
also cracks in the floor open
into the apartment below.
1. Replace the missing carpetor
finish the floor.
2. Provide carpeting or finish the
floor and seal cracks opening
into the apartment below.

the window above the bathtub
are peeling and have rough
surfaces.
Refinish the wall and woodwork
and provide smooth easily
cleanable surfaces above the
bathtub.

conditioners in the living room
and back bedroom allow the
entry of insects.
2. Raccoons are entering/living
in the roof space above the
back bedroom
1. Seal around the air
conditioners to prevent insect
entry.
2. Remove the raccoons and seal
the access to prevent animal
entry into the roof space.
