REPORT ON A HAZARDOUS MATERIAL SPILL INCIDENT DATE OF INCIDENT: Sentenber 27 , 1933 LOCATION TIME Annroximately to:30 AM intersection of Grove & Earle Streets, also Texas Road, South & Old South Streets REPORTED BY: Chief Paul Driscoll, Northampton Fire Department DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT: 9r driva Mulch, Route 1, Famlet, North Carolina, struck Grove & Earle Streets, rupturing the vehicle's twenty (20) gallons of diesel fuel leaked into the roadway alone (rove & Earle Streets, Texas PROPERTY OWNED BY: City of Morthampton .lic N. b'allaoe, For (q,a,iity the underpass abutment at fuel tank. Apnroximately the storm drain, and on to Road, South & Old South Streets ACTION TAKEN: Notified DFflF, Springfield , - Joan Thomas . Fire Denartment sprayed emulsifier on the oil, the DPW soaked up the oil with sand and cleaned up the sand with a street sweeper. in addition, sand was used to soak ur the oil from the storm drain.
