The Northampton Board of Health has inspected the premises at
14 Norwood Ave., Northampton, MA (assessor's map 30B parcel 32 .),
for compliance with Chapter II of the State Sanitary Code.
This letter will certify that the inspections revealed violations listed below,
which are serious enough as to endanger or materially impair the
health, safety, and well-being of the occupants.
Under authority of Chapter III, Section 127 of the Massachusetts General
Laws, and Chapter II of the State Sanitary Code,you are hereby ordered to
make a good faith effort to correct the following violations within
twenty-four (24) hours of the receipt of this order.

1. Severely cluttered kitchen counter
area, several bags of refuse on the
kitchen floor(possibly the result of
the ongoing cleanup work).
2. Bathroom wastebasket overflowing
with paper.
3. Dirty dishes observed In the
bedroom.
4. Strong urine odor detected in the
child's bedroom.
1. Thoroughly clean the kitchen,
complete the cleaning project
underway at the time of the
inspection.
2. Clean the remainder of the dwelling
3. Remove all bags of refuse from the
dwelling and properly store the
refuse prior to final disposal.
4. Wash and sanitize the plastic
mattress and all bedding. Dispose
of any bedding which cannot be
properly cleaned/sanitized.
Provide fresh bedding for the child.

Space being used, as a child's
bedroom does not have sufficient floor
space for use as a bedroom and is
therefor@ not habitable. In addition the
walls in this space were unfinished.
Discontinue the use of the small space
as a bedroom. Provide a minimum of
70 sq.ft. per person in all rooms used
for sleeping. All habitable space must
have floors, walls, and ceilings, which
have a finish that is smooth and easily
cleanable.
There was had a large quantity of
household belongings stored in the
front hallway. This material could be
an obstruction of the egress,
Remove any obstructions and keep
the hallway open as a means of
egress.
:e 1: At the time of the inspection, cleanup work was in progress. No food waste or
al matter was observed. A strong urine odor was detected in the child's bedroom
not elsewhere in the apartment.
