Nitrogenous wastes cannot be stored without rdannger of odors during Amer weather, 5O therefore with cleav be composted r oher high carbon materials, brings must be piled about the correct nitrogen to carbon ratio for decomposition thout odors. In this method, the high nitrogen materials will speed gay of the high carbon materials . ling This is easily done by building the pile in layers, Start with a yer of 3" to 6" of leaves or other carbonaceous wastes, to a 1" to 2 yer of grass clippings or other nitrogenous wastes . Keep repeating ese layers in this 3 to 1 ratio until the pile is built and actually oks like a multi-layer cake.maCoompost spilespofg thist type 1 can nobe tbuilt .as o period ks to weeks is y ou must build each layer care- illy,or weeks to flat an the compost, if then you keep it flat and even as if each layer were the top or final iyer.
