This is a follow up letter to a previous letter dated 6/24/2015, regarding Mr. Nathan Jones' need
for removal of the spring loaded hinges from his threshold door to his apartment. At my visit
with him today he brought to my attention that this very reasonable and quite necessary
accommodation has not been made and he is concerned that this request has been denied. The
current set up in his apartment remains a serious safety hazard He has a spasticity condition
which presents itself with progressive rigidity, stiffness and spasms. It requires considerable and
taxing effort for him to open the spring loaded doors. He must be able to enter and exit his
apartment easily, efficiently and quickly should the need arise. This is a reasonable
accommodation for an individual with a disability.
Thank you for your kind reconsideration in this problematic matter.
Sincerely,
Christina CcMfins, FNP-BC
