"Sudden Release"of Hydraulic Oil
Dear Mr.McErlain:
Pursuant to 310 CMR 40.1403(3)(f)of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan,310 CMR 40.0000,the Chief
Municipal Officer and Board of Health in the community(ies)in which a disposal site is located and any
other communities which are,or are likely to be,affected by the disposal site shall be notified of the
availability of any Response Action Outcome(RAO) Statements filed pursuant to 310 CMR 40.1000.
Cyn Environmental Services has recently filed an RAO Statement report package with the Massachusetts
Department of Environmental Protection for the above referenced location. The package was filed in
response to a release/threat of release of oil and/or hazardous material,and outlined that a level of No
Significant Risk and a Permanent Solution were ultimately achieved at the disposal site as a result of
remedial activities. Additionally,pursuant to 310 CMR 40.0960, a level of No Significant Risk to safety
has also been achieved at the disposal site,and will not in the foreseeable future pose a threat of physical
harm or bodily injury to people.
