The condition of the interior resembles reports of those homes in Katrina's wake, as I was told. This is quite worrisome for my husband and me as well as our guests who will be enjoying good weather outside in our yard and the porch in the near future. I understand the owner, Mrs. Pugliese is in a nursing home but her son, who works as a manager at State Street Fruit Store, has said the house is beyond salvaging. Does he mean it needs to be demolished? What then? What is the health concern for the neighborhood? My concern, as well as the concerns of neighbors nearest the home, as they have told me, is that this mold will become airborne and enter the neighborhood as windows become open in nicer weather come Spring. Since no home is airtight, I am also concerned that mold has leaked out already this winter because of the disrepair. If demolishing takes place would Hazmat have to be called in for our protection from airborne molds? The house is situated right next to the bike path which causes concerns for the general public using the bike path if the house is presently emitting spores and mold. This is a grave situation for everyone. I would appreciate your looking into this or directing my letter through to the proper channels . I would like someone to contact me, if only to ease my concerns since it is causing worry on a daily basis when we need to go outside of my home. Thank you. Sincerely, Kathleen M.
