Dear Property Owner(s): According to the records at the Assessor's Office,you are the owner of the property of the above address. An inspection conducted by this department on 4/3/2014 has revealed violations with one or more of the following laws. The Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 111, Sections 122, 123, 124 and 125, Abatement of Nuisances; Northampton Code of Ordinances, Chapter 272, Solid Waste; or Chapter 1I of the State Sanitary Code. Listed below is a description of the violation(s): Observed poor sanitation habits: trash in bags improperly stored next to driveway (torn and unprotected by trash cans; excessive amount of poultry (minimum observed 4 geese, 2 guinea hens, 2 Ducks, 16+ chickens, 2 turkeys) given size of property (.3 Acres re: assessor's card) creates concerns regarding storage of feed, and volume of animal waste; poultry fencing observed not sufficient to contain birds to this property; observed minimal or non-existent maintenance to poultry fencing, pens, small ponds raises concerns regarding actual coop structures. Trash in and out of bags must be cleaned up within 48 hours and and in future stored until final disposal in weather and pest-proof containers. Call office to arrange for inspection of poultry coops (413.587.1339). You are hereby ordered to correct the violations no later than April 14, 2014. A re-inspection for compliance with this order will be conducted at that time. IF THE VIOLATIONS ARE NOT CORRECTED BY THIS DEADLINE DATE,YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO RECEIVING A VIOLATION TICKET WITH A FINE.
