Front main entry door does not meet minimum code requirements regarding locking mechanism. The smoke detector in Apt. 7E does not appear to be operational at this time. Check button does not appear to be functional when pressed. (1) Bedroom prime window with loose sashes. . . .This causes difficulty when attempting to open close, or lock window. (2) Chronic moisture seepage through living room window/wall during heavy rains. . .It was also noted that no exterior roof gutters are located above this area. REMEDY All owner-supplied equipment must be fully operational and free from any defects. Correct locking violation in an approved manner. SEE ATTACHED REGULATION REQUIRE- MENTS. All work must be approved by the Building Inspector's Office. A qualified individual must check out system and insure that the smoke detector is fully operational. (1) Repair window in an appproved manner which will render it easy to operate. (2) Repair so as to prevent chronic moisture seepage into the apartment. The following was determined: Hot water is now being supplied to the clothes washer located in the basement hallway. You indicated that the circuit broker had been turned oft: The exterior entry door security ladle will soon be brought up to code compliance per letter received from Cantler Associates on a time and material basis as agreed. The smoke detector was reconnected and operational. However, the tenant,Lynn Grabowski,disconnected the unit prior to the re-inspection,indicating that the detector went off while she was in the process of cooking a turkey. Listen,the stumps,clippings,and other landscape debris are considered solid waste. They need to be properly disposed of by regulations from Department of Environmental Protection and City of Northampton. Our solid waste rules are: Chapter 272 SOLID WASTE.
