On December 13, 1982, the Board of Health Inspector, Electrical
Inspector and I, viewed the residence at the above address,
known as the Bartlett Homestead.
This house, built in 1820, has a front section of log and beam
construction. The main beams and log posts are now shoeing
excessive dry rot, and should have professional attention imm-
ediately. It would not be difficult to place the proper shoring
and steel Dilly columns to this fine old historic structure, so
as to restore it to a safe condition. Also, the present recap-
ticals should be replaced with grounded electrical recepticals.
Please notify this office as to your intent. If we can be of
any assistance, please do not hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
