This letter will certify that the inspections revealed violations, listed elow, which are serious enough as to endanger or materially impair the health, afety, and well-being of the occupants. Under authority of Chapter 111, Section 127 of the Mass. General Laws, nd Chapter 11 of The State Sanitary Code, you are hereby ordered to make a good aith effort to correct the following violations within twenty-four (24) hours rom the date of receipt of this order. ECULATION L0.450 VIOLATION The cellar apartment lacks means of egress (only one exit and that requires passage around an oil furnace) . 10.250 The cellar apartment has inadequate window space for light and ventilation. L0.280 Bathroom lacks a window or mechan- ical ventilation system. 10.351 Ceiling lights are not operable due to faulty wiring. 10.600 and The dwelling lacks refuse storage 10.601 and disposal facilities. 10.602 An accumulation of refuse on the front porch and a mattress on the ground near the front porch. REMEDY *Provide approved means of egress in compliance with 780 Clot 104, 105.1 and 605 of the State Building Code. Approval of Northampton Building Inspector is required . Provide window space equal to at least 82 of the total floor space in the apartment. Provide a window to the exterior or a mechanical ventilation system in compliance with Regula- tion 410.280.
