Broken Sewer Line
210 MAIN STREET,Room 8
NORTHAMPTON,MA 01060-3167
On June 18, 2002 I observed what appeared to be a blocked 4" line between the septic
tanks and leach pit at 8 Sheppard's Hollow. Excavation by Karl's Excavating confirmed that
the installation of a surface drain line, subsequent to the installation of the septic system
had resulted in damage to the 4" line, which ultimately led to the blockage.
The damaged section of the pipe was replaced by a crew from Karl's Excavating, the
blockage was corrected the line was reburied after inspection by the Northampton Board of
Health Agent.
