Dear Mr. Durak: On October 3, 1979, the Northampton Board of Health conducted an inspection of a dwelling owned by you at 159 Henry Street a/k/a Venturers Field Road, assessor's map 32, lot 40, to determine compliance with Article II of the State Sanitary Code, "Minimum Standards of Fitness for Human Habitation". The inspection revealed the following major housing violations: the lack of toilet facilities, the lack of an approved sewage disposal system, the lack of a function- ing hot water heater, the lack of an adequate heating system and the roof, windows, and doors are not weathertight. This letter certifies that these housing violations and those on the attached detailed violation list are serious enough to materially endanger or materially impair the health of the occupant, Mrs. Anna Durak Durakoweki. In addition, these violations of Article II render the dwelling unfit for human habitation. Please be advised that the Northampton Board of Health will consider the condemnation of this dwelling, located at 159 Henry Street a/k/a Venturers Field Road, at a meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 16, 1979 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hearing Room, City Hall, 210 Main Street, Northampton, Ha. The violations must be corrected or the dwelling will be ordered vacated. Once vacated, the dwelling cannot be occupied again until all violations are corrected. As the attached report indicates, the inspection revealed many serious violations of Article II of the State Sanitary Code. These violations render the dwelling unfit for human habitation. As requested by Mrs. Montmeny, this information is sent to your office to verify the £act that Mrs. Durakowski is presently living in a hazardous and unsafe dwelling, and, therefore, should be given every consideration for emergency housing.
