Based on HAPC's review of Taylor Davis Landscaping(TDL)schematic alternate route for the sanitary effluent line from septic tank to distribution box, we take no exception to the proposed route. That is, the route proposed by TDL is reasonable and consists of a large sweeping curve that follows geometry of driveway that is also located on shoulder of driveway, rather than straight runs or sections within center of driveway. Cleanouts should still be installed according to spacing shown on approved septic plan and heavy-duty Schedule 40 Pipe or thicker should still be used. However, we suggest careful thought to timing of pipe installation as heavy construction equipment / vehicle traffic is anticipated. It may be best to install the septic tank to distribution box effluent line or pipe after essentially all other project work is completed - including construction of leachfield and placement of septic tank- so as to prevent damage to pipe from vehicles in advertently traveling on the driveway shoulder.
