NATURE OF PROPOSED WORK:

CONDITION OF APPROVAL:
FINDINGS:
The Board granted the site plan approval for the new forestry barn on the schools forestry parcel based on the plans submitted with the
application.
In approving the 2,000 square foot + structure, the Planning Board determined that the project met the conditions in section 11.6:
A. The requested use protects adjoining premises against seriously detrimental uses. If applicable, this shall include provision for surface
water drainage, sound and sight buffers and preservation of views, light, and air; The barn will not be visible from any adjoining property
or the road. The barn provides covered storage and work area for student use that has been at the site for years.
B. The requested use will promote the convenience and safety of vehicular and pedestrian movement within the site and on adjacent
streets. The students will continue to be bussed by the school for forestry work. There is no anticipated change to the use of the
property;
C. The site will function harmoniously in relation to other structures and open spaces to the natural landscape, existing buildings and
other community assets in the area as it relates to landscaping, drainage, sight lines, building orientation, massing, egress, and
setbacks.
D. The requested use will not overload, and will mitigate adverse impacts on, the City's resources, including the effect on the City's water
supply and distribution system, sanitary and storm sewage collection and treatment systems, fire protection, streets and schools.
E. Compliance with the following technical performance standards:
(1) Curb cuts onto streets will be minimized—the existing driveway will provide continued access to the forestry work site.
