Dear Mr. Roche and Ms. Estey:
There is a seasonal (vernal) pond
owned by the Laurel Park Association
the Northampton Wetlands Protection
1989.
on the west side of property
This pond is protected under
Ordinance, adopted August 17,
Any site alteration or work which occurs or occurred within 100
feet of this pond since August 17, 1989 must obtain a permit from
the Northampton Conservation Commission.
When I visited the site on 3/28/90 I saw a pile of brush and soil
within the 100 buffer than apparently had been brought onto the
site since last August. This pile is on near the edge of the
property line with the Laurel Park Homeowners Association. You
should obtain a permit for storing this material or remove it from
out of the 100 foot buffer. The Commission will consider this
matter at their meeting on April 23, 1990.
Please contact me if you have any questions. I will be happy to
assist you in applying for necessary permits or in planning a
restoration of the site.
Sincerely,
