Dear Kelly & Charles:
Thank you for your confidence in Wright Builders and for the opportunity to work together and
be of assistance. Our quote is based on the scope of work outlined below.
The Scope of the Project: The scope of the work is as outlined below:

Remove existing J. P. Stevens roofing on east side of house and replace with .060 mil Single Ply
EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) black rubber roof. Provide 2" urethane insulation
under new roof, mechanically fastened to existing deck(See note on insulation below). Flashing,
Drip Edge,Ventilated Ridge Cap per manufacture specifications. Remove and replace existing
gutter and down spouts on East side only.New gutter to be 6" seamless aluminum and
1 downspouts to be 3"x 4" corrugated aluminum. The installation of the new roof is to include
"snow blocks"to minimize ice and snow falling on deck below. Electric work to include the
installation of a gutter and downspouts deicing cable(new gutter only).

Remove and replace existing roofing on west side of the house with Architectural asphalt
shingles similar to shingles on the garage. Flashing, Drip Edge, Caps per manufacture
specifications. Existing snow slide to be removed and reinstalled. Existing gutter to remain.
Prior to the roofing replacement,blow-in cellulose insulation is to be installed at cathedral
ceiling and open roof area(over deck). This will be achieved by boring holes, from above, 1
through wood sheathing. Holes will receive a temporary waterproof patch. Also, cellulose
insulation is to be installed on top of existing, sub standard,insulation at existing attic area
(ceiling). Work to include improving insulation over existing cover at pull down stair along with
the mounding of cellulose over existing HVAC duct work
Costs: Costs for the project are as shown on the attached estimate summary and Wright Builders,
Inc. makes substantial efforts to secure and hold pricing on all aspects of the work. Volatile items
such as,but not limited to, wire, copper piping, plastic products, oil based products and lumber
are beyond the control of Wright Builders, Inc. and the customer agrees to pay for incremental
cost changes that exceed those unit costs contained within the quoted package, by change order,
should such conditions arise.

and to allow such homeowner to engage an individual for hire who does not possess a license,provided that the owner acts
as supervisor.CMR 780 Sixth Edition Section 108.3.5.1.
Definition of Homeowner:Person(s)who own a parcel of land on which he/she resides or intends to reside,on which there
is,or is intended to be,a one or two family dwelling,attached or detached structures accessory to such use and/or farm
structures. A person who constructs more than one home in a two-year period shall not be considered a homeowner.
Such"homeowner"shall submit to the Building Official,on a form acceptable to the Building Official,that he/she shall be
responsible for all such work performed under the building permit. `
As acting Construction Supervisor your presence on the job site will be required from time to time,during and upon
completion of the work for which this permit is issued. .
Also be advised that with reference to Chapter 152(Workers'Compensation) and Chapter 153 (Liability of Employers to
Employees for injuries not resulting in Death)of the Massachusetts General Laws Annotated,you may be liable for person(s)
you hire to perform work for you under this permit.
