The Board of Appeals of the City of Northampton, on July 29,
981 voted unanimously to grant the special permit request of
Donald Ouimette to convert a building on Butler Place (shown on
the Assessors ' Maps as Sheet No. 32A, Parcel 266) into two apart-
ments.
Based upon evidence presented to the Board, the following
ifindings were made:
1. The proposed use is listed in the Table of Use Regula-
tions.
2. The proposed use bears a positive relationship to the
public convenience or welfare, in that needed housing
will be provided.
3. The proposed addition of two apartments is not likely to
create traffic congestion, nor impair pedestrian safety.
4. The proposed use will not overload any public system
since the area is served by public water, sewers and
utilities.
S. The proposed use will not have an adverse impacts on the
neighborhood because there are other multi-family homes
in the area.
The following conditions were imposed:
1. No exterior changes which will enlarge the structure
shall be made.
2. Adequate parking spaces for four cars will be provided.
