Here's the math for uplift:
7' x 10' building for 70 square feet of roof
25 lbs. of up lift per square foot (a conservative number)
70 sq. ft. x 25 lb. per sq. ft.= 1750 lbs. of up lift
1750 divided by 4(44 post) =437.5 lbs. per post
437.5 x 2 (safety factor) = 875 lbs. of up lift per 4x4 post.
Use the following Simpson StrongTie products:

(3)SDWS 22 400 DB per 2x4 purlin to attach to 4X4 post
