As to the work referenced above that you'll be undertaking at 123 South Street, since it is a Level 1
Alteration for replacement of exterior wall finish, replacement of existing windows and associated repair
to existing deteriorated framing, we feel that it does not necessitate Controlled Construction oversight.
The area of work is 1,655 s.f. and occurs at an existing exterior enclosed porch, outside of the apartment
units. It does not involve any change in accessibility or egress. During the removal of the existing
exterior plaster finish, framing that requires repair will be identified and replaced. There will be no
change in the building's fire protection by the new work.
For these reasons we support you in requesting a waiver for any required Controlled Construction
Reports.
