Honorable Zoning Board of Appeals Member: I am requesting a variance from the standard to allow me to add 81 square feet to my existing porch to bring it out even with the house and garage. As the Board can see from the pictures which have been provided,when my father originally built the homes on Gilrain Terrace, a paved area was allowed from the driveway to the porches for easy access. My request to the Board is to allow me to once again conform with the other structures on the street. I do not believe that this request is excessive since it will bring the impermeable area on my lot to a total of 19.590/a from a current total of 18.31%. I do not believe that this small increase of 1.28%of my lot coverage will be detrimental to the neighborhood as most of the properties on the street currently have a porch which is accessed by an impermeable paved area. I do not believe that this request will be harmful to the Water Supply Protection District as I infiltrate the runoff from the structures on my property. Thank you for considering my request.
