3.1 Footings
8"x 16"Reinforced concrete footings, 3000 lb.mix with 2x3 keyway and two each#4 reinforcing
bars continuous.
3.2 Walls
8"Concrete walls, 3000 Ib. mix reinforced with fibermesh.Protect all concrete from extremes of
temperature. Anchor bolts every 4'0.C. and within 2'of comers. Include windows per plan and
schedule.
3.3 Deck Footings
Install 8"x 16"x 16",3000 lb.mix concrete footings for deck. Footings to be below frost level
with one anchor bolt.
3.4 Basement Slabs
4"Concrete slabs, 3000 lb.mix atop vapor barrier(See 2.1.8,Radon Protection),reinforced with

4.1 Brick Veneer Wall
Provide 4"backer block and 4"brick veneer above grade as indicated by site conditions and
drawings, and tie the veneer to the core block with Durowall every block course. (4.1.2 above
applies.)

Install new schedule 40 PVC plastic sewer line from 10'outside building and tie in to municipal
sewer system_
2.1.3.1 Excavation and Back Fill
Excavate foundation area as required by drawings, storing loam and subgrade material separately.
Prepare site for foundation. Ledge,boulder,hardpan removal at extra cost. Back-fill with site
materials except where required for drainage,grade surface for positive run-off away from building
and remove excess material. Protect waterproofing during back fill. Fill and compact under slabs
to 95%in maximum one-foot lifts. Correct all back fill,if required,after settling. See 2.8,Radon
Protection.
2.1.3.2 Landscaping
Extra loam,york raking,fine grading and seeding are included for disturbed areas.
2.1.4 Water Service
3/4" Copper water service from street to basement or utility area. Shut-off by plumber. Water
tie-in and meter fee per Section 1.2.
2.1.5 Utility Trench
None required.
2.1.6.1 Foundation Drainage
4"Flexible plastic perimeter drains set in crushed stone and pitched to daylight,with cleanouts to
grade every 100'. Use plastic cap at daylight end. Cover with 3/8" stone and filter fabric before
back filling.
2.1.6.2 Basement Drainage
Interior 4"rigid perforated perimeter drainage in 8"trench filled with crushed stone drained to
daylight.Perimeter drain will have a"T"connection with a 3'plastic pipe standing vertically with a
cap for future radon gas removal.
2.1.7 Driveway Base
Compacted processed gravel atop existing subsurface once loam has been removed. Prepared for
scalpings as indicated.
