Re: Hotel Northampton
Dear Mr. Gliserman:
We herewith acknowledge your letter dated September 11 , 1986, with reference
to the issuance of Certificates of Occupancy for the Hotel Northampton property at
36 King Street, Northampton, Mass.
Temporary Certificates of Occupancy were issued on October 8, & 22, 1981 , and
April 23, 1982. Permanent Certificates of Occupancy for Wiggins Annex were issued
on April 21 , 1983, and February 28, 1986, for the office space.
When a temporary Certificate of Occupancy has been issued, it is the respon-
sibility of the General Contractor to contact the Building Department for a per-
manent Certificate of Occupancy.
In accordance with the Massachusetts State Building Code, Section 108.5. 1
and Table 108; inspections are required for hotels on a yearly basis. The Hotel
buildings were thoroughly inspected and as there were no apparant violations,
the Certificate of Inspections were issued to the Northampton Hotel Corporation.
If you require any additional information please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Edward J. ewhill
Building Inspector
