Dear Mr. and Mrs. Nash:
It has been brought to the attention of the Department of Public Works (DPW) that a basketball
hoop, which you are responsible for, is located within the City street layout. Encroachment into
the public way can cause a hazard to our snow fighting equipment and personnel during the
winter months and may cause a hazard to the individuals playing basketball in the street or the
vehicular traffic operating by the area.
The DPW made a site visit on 7/27/99 at 12:00 P.M. and knocked on your door to make a
personal contact. Unfortunately, there was no response. Since you are not listed in the telephone
book, no further attempts will be made to contact you. Please remove the basketball hoop,
including pole and supporting concrete, and any other appurtenances associated with this
structure. If the DPW does not hear from you by August 6, 1999, you will be issued an
enforcement notice.
This notice is being forwarded to you prior to any enforcement.
Please contact Mr. Guilford Mooring, Assistant Director of Public Works or myself, if there are
any questions.
Ve truly yours,
Your
rindis, P. .
