When I arrived the Fire department was already there. I noted that the joists and wires under the hearth were severely charred. The fire box and hearth had cracks. I cannot determine how much of the damage was from the actual fire and how much was caused from stopping the fire. Use of the fireplace will not be allowed until it is rebuilt and brought up to safety standards. If you have any questions you can reach me between 7:30 & 9:30 AM at 586-6950 ext.240.
