I understand that in compliance with Section 10.11 North-
ampton Zoning Ordinances, such waiver may be granted only
upon a showing that compliance with the the provisions of
this Ordinance can be ensured without the necessity of
site plan review. In reviewing a request for a waiver,
the Administrative Officer may require the submission of
specific ltems of information pertinent to the proposed
development.

Reasons upon which application is based :
The building at 10 Michelman Avenue was built by my husband and myself
to house the Para-Medic Ambulance Company. Since this company did not
win the current contract to provide the City with ambulance coverage,
they did not renew their lease on our building. This building is now
vacant and causing me extreme financial difficulties. Without the
rental income from this building I will not be able to meet the high
mortgage payments. The location and design of the building makes other
than apartment/garage usage difficult.
One-half of the building is equipped as living quarters. I would like
permission to rent this as an apartment. The other half of the building
would be suitable for usage as an automobile repair garage. There are
other first-floor apartments in the area, and because my building is not
on a primary street, but rather a dead end street, it should not create
any problem as an apartment. There are several other automobile repair
businesses and auto parts businesses in the area, along with many other
commercial establishments. I do not believe, therefore, that a garage
would be a detriment to the neighborhood.
