the characteristics of this building in terms of other buildings within the community. This is a two-and-a-half story Greek Revival style house with side gable roof. This house is five
bays wide and three bays deep. The house exhibits classic Greek Revival style features with its corner pilasters, deep frieze and pedimented side gables. The front entrance is also characteristic
of the Greek Revival style with its trabeated surround that includes pilasters, high entablature, and sidelights. Windows on the house have six over six sashes with architrave surrounds.
Along the ridge of the roof, at its center, is a tall and narrow chimney. The property also includes a one-bay garage. HISTORICAL NARRATIVE Discuss the history of the building. Explain
its associations with local (or state) history. Include uses of the building, and the role(s) the owners/occupants played within the community. From Form B of 1976: “The Day Family owned
the land on which this large Greek Revival style house was built in the mid-nineteenth century. The Days owned a brickyard and much of the surrounding property. In 1899, the Day Brothers
