the characteristics of this building in terms of other buildings within the community. This is a two-and-a-half story early Colonial Revival style home with a pyramidal roof. The slate
roof features a hipped roof dormer with paired casement windows on the northern and eastern slopes and a small eyebrow dormer on the western slope of the roof. There is a one story porch
with low-pitched hipped roof that extends across the full width of the front façade. The porch has has Tuscan columns and balustrade with square balusters. Windows on the home have six
over one sash on the upper floor and one over one sash on the first floor. Window surrounds are flat stock with a drip edge. Adding visual interest to the front façade is rondel style
window. On the eastern elevation of the home is a two story bay with a paneled trim separating the first and second stories of the bay. On the southwestern elevation of the home is a
shallow rear wing. Attached to the rear of the home is a two-story carriage house. HISTORICAL NARRATIVE Discuss the history of the building. Explain its associations with local (or state)
