RE: Historical Commission demolition review, 26 Union Street
Louis:
In accordance with Chapter 161 of the Northampton Ordinance, "Demolition," the Historical
Commission held a public hearing October 25 to determine whether the house at 26 Union
Street is "Preferably Preserved." The Commission voted unanimously that, while significant,
the house should not be determined Preferably Preserved. No demolition delay has been
imposed, and a demolition permit may be issued at any time.
Thanks very much for your input regarding the structural condition of the house.
