HARDSHIP: CONDITION OF APPROVAL: 1)1. Sprinklers must be installed according to original permit. Request to eliminate this condition was denied without prejudice. 2. The crosswalk shall be bituminous with thermoplastic striping installed in accordance with DPW standards. FINDINGS: The Planning Board reviewed the request for two amendments to the original special permit based upon the materials submitted with the application. 1. On the request to eliminate the requirement for all units to contain fire suppression sprinkler systems, the Board voted unanimously to deny. The denial was based upon recommendation of the DPW and through the City Solicitor. The Board voted unanimously to deny without prejudice this request so that if the Engineers, Fire Department and Legal Counsel agreed at a later date to change its position, the applicant could return to the Planning Board. 2. On the request to alter the materials originally conditioned for the crosswalk, the Board voted to approve the amendment. The original concrete crossing will instead be constructed with bituminous with thermoplastic striping in accordance with DPW crosswalk standards. All other conditions of the original permits stand.
