Celebrating Historic Preservation The Northampton Historical Commission welcomes you to its 34th Annual Preservation Awards Ceremony. This year we will honor four projects that preserve
or contribute to the built environment of Northampton. The purpose of the Northampton Historical Commission is “the preservation, promotion, and development of the historic assets of
the City,” as stated in the City ordinance which established the mayoral-appointed commission in 1973. The Commission seeks to stimulate public awareness and dialogue about the built
environment, not only to preserve the best of history, but to guide new designs that complement that history. v For additional information about the Northampton Historical Commission
and its work, please contact the Northampton Office of Planning and Development in City Hall 413-587-1265 wfeiden@northamptonma.gov www.northamptonplanning.org WELCOME Barbara Blumenthal
